Dropbox Tutorial 1 -your public folder
ok so now everyone's got db... lets talk about some usefulness
if you need to send someone, who doesn't have db something:
note in your dropbox directory, you have a folder labelled "public". This folder is set on a public server that does not require db authentication to access.
so, perhaps, lets say you need to send your part to SG for the fluckit video. He does not have db.
megaupload/rapidshare/etc suck and email won't let you send that big of a file.
put it in your public folder. let it upload (so you get that green checkmark).
Then right click it and hit "dropbox->copy public link" you now have a url to that file, that anyone can download, copied to your clipboard. paste that into a pm and just make sure you leave it on the server long enough for them to dl it. problem solved.
