NHL 11
this is video game hockey. period.
even though i cant position lock, it's still amazing.
offensive zone, behind the net setting up, richards IN FRONT OF THE NET POSTED UP WITH HIS STICK ON THE ICE READY TO ONE TIME MY PASS.......

i got 12 interference calls in the first game, i just hit everything that moves, so AWESOME.
you really feel like you are punishing guys with the big hits.

the game is A LOT slower. more realistic.

already had 2 disallowed goals.

face-offs with take some time to master, (DO THE INTERACTIVE TUTORIAL, SERIOUSLY)

downloaded at 3am, played til now, 2 1/2 hours already.
haven't tried the new ultimate team yet. not really my thing.

girlfriend is in rough shape. She was super close to her grandfather and then to top it off, she was there holding his hand when he went.

emotionally draining, bittersweet weekend.

the sweet part was getting jen blackout drunk at the bar saturday night. lol she giggled from the bar all the wayy back to her house. first time i had heard her laugh in about a week. That was cool.

My dad is at a doctors appointment right now, going over his MRI results. Still waiting to hear..
He's pretty much on pain meds 24/7, which is rough, because he doesn't do well at all with them.

Ultimate team is kinda tight and if you beat it (beat team canada in the tournament) you upgrade the free dlc you get for sending an invite to the demo.

and you can def position lock in Ult. Team

yeah, i finally tried that last night.
my lines are all screwed up, cause i just make sure a left handed shot in on the left wing. lol.
haven't beat it yet, i run out of contracts and get bored trying to move everyone around. haha

they had ultimate team on fifa and it sucked

it was impossible to keep decent players and get better ones at the same time

LMAO i could see that. the first time i played it, after 2 games, i had 6 players without anymore contracts.
When the full game is all, it will be all BAP and OTP for me, so i'm not too worried.

idk, i like the kinda full sim kinda stuff... like, i'd rather play that offline than BAP...

Artificial intelligence has also been noticeably ramped up in NHL 11. Players seem to know what they're doing this year. Teammates are also smart. They set up good breakouts now, so you spend a lot less time bottled up in your own end than you did in last year's game.

I disagree. Put the settings on "All Star", and "Normal".
The sliders for AI learning are up higher. You may lose A LOT more, but stupid should happen less.
But, I do agree that the game has some issues. Hardest NHL game I've ever played.

THE BEST offline hockey i have ever played.
with 11 min periods, games last a good 40 mins with whistles/ect.

if you have the time, try it.
