How quickly plans can change...

*Warning* This is me ranting about a bullshit day. You don't have to read it.


Just found out this morning that this company decided they don't have the budget to keep me on as a co-op through my graduate work.

Now... explain this to me, i make $15/hr (approx $31,000/yr if i worked 40hr all 52 weeks) but i do the work of someone who they pay $80,000-$90,000/yr. so how the fuck do they "not have the budget" for me?!

Anyways, this fucks everything up. Now it looks like, if i don't find another co-op that i'm going to have to spend 9 fucking months in flint fucking Michigan. which means... oct-dec (graduate) come home for christmas, then back Jan-march with a group of people idk and never met (where the fuck do i live?) and then get 1-2 weeks off and then right back at is Apr-Jun and hopefully be done.. then have to try to find a new fucking job.

I've lost all fucking motivation to do anything at this shithole. Anyone need any GC work done?

feels like i just got through that shit storm, and now you're right in the middle of it.

there's no way around it, the economy sucks. it's terrible.
people have been talking like its getting better, or things are opening up, when it's not really the case.

my best advice:
do what you can, nail out the shit you CAN control, and do your best for the rest of it.
