FORZA 3 drift/drag/shenanigans/to the max

FINALLY picked it up.

raced enough to build an n/a Corolla. fucking sickkk
now i have less than $1,000... lmao.

first impressions:
sights/sounds/feel = OMFGwtfBBQlolFTW
drifting with the new clutch system is gonna take a couple days to nail down.
(tend to e-brake without engaging the clutch lolz.)
Corolla is way under powered, so drifting it is hard anyway. but awesome.
pulled a 14.320 quarter mile with said Corolla. major slow lol.

having it on expert gives a 90% earnings increase... enough said right?
need to buckle down and earn some cash, then get some liveries done, so i can auction some shit.
besides the laundry list of drift cars i need. (RWD swaps for Subarus, and Skylines this time around hehe)

I LOVE THIS GAME! haven't figured out how to do replays yet. but i raced through the first season and bought a shiny new beamer. guess i don't know all the lingo yet since i didn't understand some of what embers said. lol.

so apparently i don't know anything about this game. i'm just gonna keep playing career cuz even though embers mentioned how much money i need to build a dragster, he didn't say what upgrades i should get LOL. so i started slappin on every race package i could get and i was out of money by the time i was done with brakes.

has anyone tried to use the replay editor yet? i just watched a few player made vids and im curious as to how it works.

the replay editor is interesting.
lots of camera choices. think skate 1 sort of.
pick a cam, 'car close' for example. then hit 'X' to cycle through the several angles for that cam.
there are tons of cams to choose from as well. close, far, replay, game, simple, advanced...
but no Free Cam. lmao!

wait, where is this hire a driver option?

Right before the race when it gives you the option of start race, tune setup, etc

just make sure that your car is upgraded and tuned to the upper end of the class. So that your hired driver can actually win, most of the time.

actually that's what happened to my chevelle when i was trying to tune it lol. it spins the tires for 3 sec then is in 5th gear in another 5 seconds.

when you're talking hire a driver, the car is what wins the races. having a lame set up will lose you the race for sure.

what difficulty do you have the race set at?
what class is your chevelle?
do you notice what gear the car is in, on the a long straight when you do hire a driver?


i've found the setting the final drive of the gears more towards acceleration really helps the AI driver.
even if it means being topped out in 5th or 6th halfway down the straightaways. this helps because it forces the AI driver to downshift a lot faster when slowing down for a corner, at the same time, the downshifting is also slowing the car down more quickly. the other benefit is that the AI driver is able to exit corners really quickly with the shorter gearing, allowing a gap to be opened up and pass if need be.

Hopefully that makes sense.

when i do hire a driver, i always set it to medium difficulty, to ensure the win.
